Kulinarya Kitchen Food Review

We headed for the Power Plant Mall in Rockwell, Makati after work last Friday, to watch the new Spider-man movie. The movie was not until 7:30pm and we arrived early, so we had enough time to go around and look for good restaurants. We tried Kulinarya Kitchen before but I was not able to take pictures of their food so we decided to go back there again and “document” it properly.

Beef Salpicao Php 350.00

The beef was tender and full of flavor, probably the best Beef Salpicao I have tasted. The sauce is something else too, I can’t identify what it is, but nevertheless tasted so good. I could probably eat this everyday!

Beef tenderloin cutlets sautéed in olive oil, garlic and our special sauce. Served with rice or bread.

Beef Tenderloin Scallopine Php 325.00

The mushroom risotto was very creamy, my wife loved it. The pork tenderloin, cut into thin slices,  also tasted very good. This dish would have been perfect If only it had a bigger serving.

Scallopine of pork tenderloin with brown butter-lemon caper sauce. Served with mushroom risotto and fresh asparagus.

Buco Pandan Panacotta Php 135.00

My wife is an avid Panacotta aficionado. As soon as she saw the Panacotta on the menu it was settled that it would be our dessert. The Buco flavor was very unique because Panacotta is usually paired with Mango, Banana, Strawberry and other more popular “western” fruit syrups. Despite the unusual flavor, it won my wife over and she now considers it as good as Italianni’s Panacotta dessert.

A Filipino dessert with an Italian twist! Layered with pandan gelatine and shredded young coconut drizzled with sweet cream

A very nice restaurant, slightly more expensive, but that is expected in an upscale mall. The food is great and the ambience is warm and quiet. Definitely a good place to have dates.

Hi James. This is Carlo Mesina, one of the owners of Kulinarya. I’m glad you and your wife enjoyed eating at our restaurant. We always try our best to delight our guests. The salpicao is also our family’s favorite and seeing your picture made me crave for it. Have you tried our specialty Seafood Salad Maki? I’m sure you will both enjoy it too. So the next time you’re in Kulinarya, the seafood salad maki is on me. Just say James from Watim’s box and they’ll know. We really appreciate this. It inspires us to do better. Thank you very much.
